Aurore M. Hood Real Estate

Cindy has a broad background of employment, which has led her to the current position of REALTOR with Aurore M. Hood Real Estate.

Cindy’s parents ran a family business called Sportsman’s Lodge, an experience that helped her to begin and develop her “people skills.” Also, retail work was interspersed with waitress work at area restaurants, which reinforced her ability to work well with people and thus enable her to be a more effective REALTOR. The highlights of those positions included being on the Management team of the Burlington, VT Eddie Bauer store; Kelly’s Hallmark in Colebrook; and Piccadilly in Seattle, Washington.

After graduating from Endicott College in Beverly MA, Cindy taught art at Colebrook Academy and served as a substitute teacher in the grammar schools there.

Cindy’s creative gifts came to life as a floral designer for The Blossom Shop in Colebrook and again for Any Blooming Thing. Cindy also ran her own garden accessory business, Garden Sequel.

On the personal side, Cindy has a home at Diamond Pond, where she has spent many hours enjoying swimming, hiking, skiing, and snowmobiling. She turned that home into Cindy’s B&B for a time and shared it with many interesting people. She and her husband, Paul H. Hood, also enjoy a home in Lancaster’s Scenic “Out East.”

Having moved to Lancaster when she married Paul, Cindy had the opportunity to join the AMHRE team, and has been able to bring many contracts to a successful close under the direction of the 20 year real estate veteran Aurore M. Hood.

Good customer service skills have enabled Cindy to enjoy meeting the many wonderful people that she has had the pleasure of working with throughout her career. Cindy’s clients appreciate her congeniality and patient ability to clarify the many facets and intricacies of real estate transactions.
